Veteran's Contract Housing

A “safe-haven” of transitional living

In January of 2011, Welcome Home Ministries began a new program of outreach to Veterans of War at the request of the Department of Veterans Affairs. WHM was the first “Contract Housing” facility in the state of Tennessee to provide a “Safe-Haven” for Veterans who are awaiting alcohol and/or drug treatment.

WHM designed our Veterans support program as a mirror image of our transitional housing program. All residents must abstain from alcohol and drugs and are subject to the same requirements as other transitional housing residents.

Once Veterans leave our residential community to receive treatment, they may return to WHM for long-term recovery support services, should they decide to do so.

WHM provides an exclusive residential facility for Veterans. Recently, the Department of Veterans Affairs asked Welcome Home Ministries to consider expanding our capacity to receive additional veterans.
